Sunward Privacy Policy

Effective May 28, 2026

In short

Sunward is built to be the most private wellness app on your phone. Everything Sunward knows about you stays on your phone — your journal entries, your streak, your name, your reminder times. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, nothing is shared.

What we collect

Nothing. Sunward does not collect any data from you.

The information you write into Sunward — your gratitude entries, the things you're thankful for, the positive things from your day — is stored only on your own device using your phone's built-in secure storage. It is never transmitted to us, to our servers (we don't have any), or to anyone else.

Sunward does not use any analytics services. We do not know how often you open the app, which screens you visit, or whether you've completed your morning practice. We don't ask, and we don't want to.

Sunward does not contain any advertising. There are no third-party tracking pixels, no ad networks, no marketing identifiers.

What you control

Because everything lives on your device, you control everything:

Notifications

Sunward sends you local notifications (morning and evening reminders, plus re-engagement nudges if you've left the app without completing the day's practice). These are scheduled by Sunward and delivered by your phone's operating system. Nothing is sent through our servers. No information about your usage is shared with anyone.

You can turn notifications off anytime in your iPhone Settings > Notifications > Sunward.

Children's privacy

Sunward is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but the practice is designed for adults and older teens engaging in personal reflection. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, regardless of age.
